Grizzly G0704 Conversion Kit

$750.00
(plus freight) While the Grizzly G0704 may still be considered a benchtop mill (it does come with its own stand) it is very different from the Sieg style machines. First of all, it has more travel. It’s a much heavier machine, and, most importantly, it has tapered gibs in its way system which are more accurate and need much less adjustments. Also, the G0704 has a 1hp motor which is leaps and bounds better than the smaller X2 machines The difference between the Sieg X2 style machines is there is some machining required to the table and Y axis base to convert it to CNC. Additional clearance is required to fit the ball screws and nuts to the machine.  If you have access to a larger machine or to a local machine shop, then you can follow the detailed instructions included in the kit. The conversion kit includes: (3) NEMA 23 stepper motor mounts (3) All new ball screws and nuts custom machined (3) All new shaft connectors All new thrust and tapered roller bearings All the necessary hardware to assemble to your machine

Precision Matthews PM-25 Conversion Kit

$3,750.00
The PM-25 is similar in size to the G0704 and is comparable in price. The manufacturer, in China, is different from the one that makes all the Sieg style X2’s. The main difference is the ways on this machine are precision ground. This allows the adjustment of the tapered gib to be finely tuned thus yielding closer tolerances. Another aspect is that the clearance between the bottom of the table and the top of the Y axis base is enough to where you can put ½” ball screw and nut on the X axis (16mm (5/8”) is used on the other axis) without machining clearances as required on the G0704. The conversion kit includes: (3) NEMA 23 stepper motor mounts (3) All new ball screws and nuts custom machined (3) All new shaft connectors All new thrust and tapered roller bearings All the necessary hardware to assemble to your machine

Sieg X2 Conversion Kit

$615.00
Today, the Sieg X2 mini mill is the most popular machine for converting to CNC mainly as an entry level into hobby machining. The X2 is sold under many names including Harbor Freight and Klutch (Northern Tool), but they are all made in the same factory in China. Please read the following article at https://makezine.com/2011/11/23/the-sieg-mini-mill-one-manufacturer-many-brands/ The CNC Conversions Plus Sieg X2D kit is the only true “bolt-on” kit on the market. You needn’t drill any additional holes or enlarge existing holes. All bearings (where possible) have grease fittings. The Z axis mounts to the center of the head placing the center of gravity where it belongs, in the center. This greatly reduces drag on the Z axis stepper motor and eliminates stalling. The conversion kit includes: (3) NEMA 23 stepper motor mounts (3) All new ball screws and nuts custom machined (3) All new shaft connectors All new thrust and tapered roller bearings All the necessary hardware to assemble to your machine
